NAIDOC Week Art Workshops
About this Event
Learn about First Nations stories, symbols and totems with Stacey, director of Baru Maranga Culture Collective, as you create your own artistic design for a clay Emu Egg.
Participants will also create a nest for their Emu Egg to take home, while learning about caring for Country through storytelling, art and cultural knowledge.
Stacey is a proud Mandandanji woman who is passionate about sharing her culture, her art and is always seeking new opportunities to educate those around her through healing, colour and light.
This interactive workshop is tailored to children’s questions, critical thinking and creating art pieces to tell stories.
Best to wear clothing that can withstand a little paint to this workshop!
Children must be accompanied by a guardian. Only participating children require a ticket for this event and some seating will be available for guardian supervision.
All materials supplied in this free workshop however places are limited and bookings are essential.
