About this Event

The beginners guide to qualitative research methods workshop provides novice clinician researcher with practical insight into how to develop and conduct qualitative research.

The workshop will cover what qualitative research is and how it is different to quantitative research. It will also provide participants with an understanding of their philosophical position (important in the conduct of good qualitative research).

Participants will also be guided through the array of different qualitative approaches and what might be best for their own study, including what data collection tools to use.

At the end of the workshop, participants will understand when and how to use qualitative methods and select appropriate qualitative tools.

To obtain the most benefit from this workshop, participants should already have a well-defined research question.

A laptop is required.
