How to write a literature review
About this Event
The objective of this workshop is to help participants to understand the purpose and structure of a basic literature review.
Outcomes for the workshop are an understanding of the value of a sound literature review, a realisation of the scope of information to include in the literature review, and the structure to use when reporting this information. Participants should also have increased confidence in their ability to compose a literature review which will clearly describe the current and relevant information related to their research topic.
Please bring your own charged laptop, with Endnote software and EndNote library containing literature relevant to the topic of your research project.
Please contact your organisation’s librarian to determine whether your organisation supports downloading of EndNote onto your device.
A laptop is recommended.
Workshop facilitator:
Please arrive on time for this workshop, as it will commence at the advertised time.
A detailed map of the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, showing direction of traffic, buildings and parking locations, is available here. Allow adequate time to find a car park, do not assume that a spot will be available in the closest car park. This workshop will be held in the downstairs training room in rush building (Building 5 on the map), which can be accessed on the southern side of the building at ground level.
