Identifying your research problem and refining your research question
This hands-on workshop is designed for novice researchers to assist in the development of a structured research question which will form the basis of literature searching, and subsequent research study design.
Following this workshop participants will be able to:
· Recognise characteristics of a well‑defined research problem.
· Refine a broad idea into a focused, answerable research question.
· Apply criteria for clarity, feasibility, and relevance.
Enabling them to formulate a clear and concise research question from their research idea.
Workshop facilitator:
You are required to bring a research idea, a charged laptop is also recommended
Please arrive on time for this workshop, as it will commence at the advertised time.
A detailed map of the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, showing direction of traffic, buildings and parking locations, is available here. Allow adequate time to find a car park, do not assume that a spot will be available in the closest car park. This workshop will be held in the downstairs training room in rush building (Building 5 on the map), which can be accessed on the southern side of the building at ground level.
