Money Minded Workshop @ Toowoomba City Library
About this Event
This interactive 2-hour workshop introduces participants to the foundations of financial wellbeing by focusing on money mindset, spending awareness, and practical budgeting skills.
Participants will explore how their beliefs, emotions, and past experiences influence their financial decisions. Through guided reflections and simple exercises, they will begin to understand their personal “money story” and identify patterns in their spending habits.
The session introduces practical tools to support everyday money management, including:
- Tracking spending and identifying triggers (emotional, situational, and habitual)
- Building awareness of financial behaviours without judgement
- Creating a simple, personalised budget using the 50/30/20 framework
- Aligning spending and saving with personal values (financial “congruence”)
By the end of the workshop, participants will have:
- Greater clarity on where their money goes
- Insight into the mindset patterns that influence their finances
- A simple budget framework tailored to their situation
- One clear, practical action step to begin improving their financial habits
This workshop is designed to be practical, supportive, and accessible, helping participants move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling more confident and in control of their finances.
