Adventures in Our Solar System

Join us at the Blake Planetarium for an action-packed journey through our Solar System as we explore scorching worlds, icy moons, lunar landscapes, and the remarkable planet we call home.

Our feature presentation, The Great Solar System Adventure, takes audiences on a thrilling tour of the Solar System with the flamboyant showman extraordinaire, The Great Schiaparelli.  Climb aboard his wondrous Observatorium and travel from the Sun-scorched surface of Mercury to the frozen reaches of Pluto and beyond.  Along the way, encounter some of the most extreme and dangerous environments in our cosmic neighborhood and discover the incredible variety of worlds that orbit our Sun.  With humor, excitement, and plenty of unexpected twists, this death-defying adventure offers a new appreciation for just how precious and unique Earth really is. Hold on tight, the journey may be a little more dangerous than it looks!

Next, explore the relationship between Earth, Moon, and Sun with Coyote, an amusing character whose misconceptions about the universe lead to some surprising discoveries.  Learn how these three familiar celestial bodies work together as a system and explore the science behind some of the phenomena we experience here on Earth.

Discover how the Sun produces energy through nuclear fusion and why it appears to rise and set.  Explore the Moon's orbit, phases, craters, and eclipses, and take a look at humanity's past journeys to the Moon and our plans for future exploration.

Together, these two immersive experiences invite audiences to explore the wonders of our Solar System while gaining a deeper appreciation for the extraordinary world we call home.

TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLINE ONLY. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Please note that we are a ticketless venue. When you buy your ticket online, you are immediately added to our attendee list, so there is no need to print your ticket or present an e-ticket. You can simply check in on show night with your name and a smile.
