Loðnar humlur eru ekki bara sætar litlar lífverur, heldur gegna þær mikilvægu hlutverki þegar kemur að frjóvgun plantna. Á þessum skemmtilega viðburði skoðum við skordýr úr vísindasafni Náttúrufræðistofnunar. Við kíkjum í smásjár, notum stækkunargler, skoðum alvöru humlubú og lærum um hvernig humlur safna frjókorni!Teymi líffræðinga við Háskóla Íslands sem leitt er af Judith Trunschke standa fyrir viðburðinum og þau munu einnig kynna verkefni þar sem gestir geta tekið þátt í að skrásetja fjölbreytni og dreifingu humla á Íslandi, svo búum við til okkar eigin flugur til að taka með heim.
Viðburðurinn fer fram á sýningu Náttúruminjasafnsins, Vatnið í náttúru Íslands, á 2. hæð Perlunnar.

Bumblebees with their fluffy hairs are not only cute little creatures, but also play a crucial role for pollination. At this fun event, we’ll take a look at insects from the Natural science Institute of Iceland’s collection. We'll peek through microscopes and magnifying glasses, see a real beehive, and demonstrate how bees collect pollen!
A team of biologists at the University of Iceland, led by Judith Trunschke are hosting the event, and they will also introduce a project where guests can participate in documenting the diversity and distribution of bees in Iceland. And of course, we’ll make our own flying bees to take home!
The event takes place at the Icelandic Museum of Natural History´s exhibition, Water in Icelandic Nature on the 2nd floor of Perlan
