Glasgow Day Writing Retreat with Women Who Write
About this Event
Join Women Who Write for a full day of guided writing sprints alongside a welcoming community of women and non-binary writers at The Boardwalk in Glasgow's Merchant City.
Whether you're working on a novel, editing a thesis, journalling, drafting a newsletter or simply trying to build a writing habit, this is dedicated time to focus on your project without distractions. We'll provide structured writing sessions, plenty of breaks to chat, plus unlimited snacks and cold refreshments throughout the day.
A few FAQs:
- There's no pressure to share your work—we're just here to cheer you on.
- No need to hit a particular word count or goal.
- Bring a notebook or laptop; there's Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points.
- Anyone who identifies as a woman or as non-binary is welcome. We are an LGBTQ+ safe space.
- If you need a discounted or free ticket, please get in touch at [email protected]—we can usually help.
Women Who Write is a community of women and non-binary writers at every stage of their writing journey, from journal keepers and students to published authors. We believe "writer" is a broad term: if you write, or want to, you'll fit right in.
Alongside our writing retreats, we host free and paid events including regular writing meets, critique sessions, literary outings, online writing sprints, and two annual writing challenges to help you build a sustainable writing practice.
