Mammas Write

Mammas Write is a collective of mothers determined to continue their creative lives within the chaos of new motherhood.

The group have met since Summer 2024 and, inspired by our exhibitions and objects, come together monthly at the Gallery of Modern Art to create while supporting each other. Using writing and image-making, the group has an often spontaneuous approach and previous outcomes have included zine making, collaging and print making.

Babies and small children are invited to take part, though the session's focus is on the mother. Only one ticket needed per family group - please note you are welcome to come with or without your children.
