Enchiladas 101 with Lorenzo Lopez

Come have fun with our guest chef while you cook and learn about the history of Mexican foods. The "enchilada" is a staple of Mexican cuisine. It is a blend of indigenous ingredients and Spanish influences. This history of the enchilada goes all the way back to the Aztec/Maya era.

What you will learn: This class will be interactive so that participants will be able to make their own enchiladas. We will make vegan (sweet potato), chicken, and vegetarian (cheese) options. We then will eat together not only the enchiladas we make but also beans, rice and salsa. Enchilada defined is, enchilar, "to season with chili."

Our Mission: Let our cooking classes inspire you. Work with our chef/instructor to learn how to prepare delicious recipes, hone essential techniques, and put some "heart" back into cooking. All levels of experience welcome! We offer private classes, private parties, and a bounty of niche gourmet food and beverage products! NOTICE about cooking classes:

• Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above.
• You will work with other students.
• Hands-on classes are limited to 7 to 10 students.
• You will sit or stand, cooking and working for most of the class.
• Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
• We do not offer refunds for classes within one week of the scheduled date. However, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or family member if you are unable to attend.
• Students receive a coupon good for the day of the class for 10% off in-store purchases on all food, beverage, kitchen, and table top products.
• All recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.

If you have a food allergy, please check with us before registering for a class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made.

Refund Policy: All classes are subject to cancellation and/or postponement. If this happens to your class, a full refund will be issued. No refunds will be otherwise issued; however, tickets can be transferred to another event or individual.
