About this Event
Chef Jose Aste will be leading a workshop to recreate Peru's national dish, ceviche, a fresh and summery citrus-cured fish plate.* While ceviche can be found in many cuisines around the globe, it originates from Peru and has been enjoyed by the region for as far back as 3,000 years ago. Chef Jose is excited to share this dish and its history with you!
*This meal features raw fish. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions.
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for working in the kitchen. Hair that is shoulder-length or longer needs to be tied back.
Parking is available in the lot on the East side of the center, as well as on the surrounding streets, Kalamazoo, Allen and Shepard.
If you have any questions about the class or would like to inquire about dietary accommodations, contact Abie Kopacz at [email protected] or 517-999-3921 before the start of class.
