Zack Caplinger & Daniel Mandrychenko
About this Event
The Sanctuary Studio welcomes back guitarist Zachary Caplinger for an intimate evening of jazz guitar, joined by Nashville-based guitarist and composer Daniel Mandrychenko. Together, the two musicians bring a rich blend of jazz tradition, original music, and contemporary improvisation into the studio’s close listening environment.
Daniel Mandrychenko has performed at festivals including the San Francisco Jazz Festival and Next Generation Jazz Festival, and has shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Jeff Hamilton, Dave Liebman, and Charles McPherson. A touring member of the Annie Moses Band and leader of the Daniel Mandrychenko Quartet, his playing moves fluidly between jazz, folk, and modern improvisational traditions.
Zachary Caplinger, a Southern California-based guitarist and faculty member at California State University Fullerton, has built a reputation as both a compelling performer and dedicated educator. Having performed alongside artists including Bill Cunliffe, Joe LaBarbera, and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Zachary brings a deeply melodic and grounded approach to the jazz guitar tradition.
Join us for an evening of thoughtful interplay, inventive improvisation, and music shared in the intimate acoustics of The Sanctuary Studio.
