Ben Dabiri
About this Event
Join us for an evening of richly textured, contemporary jazz with Ben Dabiri, an Iranian-American pianist, composer, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. Born in Tehran and trained first in classical piano, Dabiri’s musical journey took a decisive turn when he discovered jazz in high school—an awakening that led him to the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA, where he studied with renowned mentors including Terence Blanchard, Arturo O’Farrill, and Tamir Hendelman.
Now an active force in LA’s jazz and beat scenes, Dabiri performs widely while also teaching a dedicated roster of private students. His work spans genres and disciplines, with playing and production credits alongside artists such as Marinero, Keithian, Sage, and Headbed.
Drawing from his Persian heritage, classical foundation, and deep immersion in jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, Ben Dabiri’s music is both deeply personal and expansively modern—bridging cultural traditions through soulful, forward-thinking improvisation. This performance offers an intimate look into a singular artistic voice in today’s creative jazz landscape.
