WATERcolour Workshop

Join award-winning artist Maria Belderbos for a watercolour masterclass focusing on an essential aspect of watercolour – water.
During the relaxed, four hour workshop, students will be taken through some of the principles of painting in this medium – washes, wet-in-wet, drybrush – with a mixture of simple theory and hands-on activities.
In the second part of the workshop, students will work on a more developed painting, to take home as a memento as well as a practical demonstration of what they’ve learnt.
The workshop is designed for both beginners alongside those with experience in the medium. Exploring watercolour theory in a relaxed, accessible and instructive way, students will enjoy a day of sociable painting, as well as lots of take home learning to apply to future creations.
Breaks will be built into the day. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch (or feel free to pop to the cafe!)
The second class of a two part watercolour series, this workshop can be attended on its own, but is designed to sit alongside the first session: waterCOLOUR.
It is advised to wear clothes that you don't mind getting watercolour paint on.
There is plenty of free parking available on site.
