Ready to Lead: Building Confidence in Your First Role
About this Event
Ready to Lead: Building Confidence in Your First Role - Delivered by Suffolk New College
New to managing people and wondering if you're doing it right? This workshop is designed for anyone stepping into their first leadership role, whether you're managing a small team, leading volunteers, or taking on more responsibility at work for the first time.
You'll get clear on what's actually expected of you, identify your natural strengths, and tackle the confidence blockers that hold most new managers back - leaving with a personal leadership plan you can put to use straight away, whether you're managing in person, remotely, or in a hybrid environment.
The session draws on emotional intelligence, strengths-based thinking, and practical mindset tools to help you feel more certain, more credible, and more ready to lead. No management theory, no jargon. Just the foundations that make the difference in those critical early months.
This course is open to all, but particularly suitable for:
- New, aspiring, or accidental managers
- Team leaders, supervisors and coordinators
- Individuals preparing for progression into leadership roles
- SMEs seeking affordable, practical leadership development
- Public sector and charity employees
All four courses in the Managing People with Confidence Series are charged at £165 per person (£75 saving).
