Digital Photography + Editing Workshop
About this Event
Digital Photography + Editing Workshop - Delivered by Suffolk New College
Good photography isn't just about having the right camera; it's about knowing what to do with it. This practical three-hour workshop covers the fundamentals of taking better digital photos and editing them to a professional finish. You'll learn how to use your camera settings with intention (exposure, light, focus), how to compose a shot that tells a story, and how to avoid the most common mistakes that make images look flat or amateur.
The second half of the session focuses on editing: using accessible software to adjust light, colour and crop, apply a consistent style, and get your images ready to use, whether that's for social media, a website, a presentation, or print.
By the end you'll have a clear, repeatable workflow you can apply to any image. Bring your camera (DSLR, mirrorless or a recent smartphone) and a laptop with editing software installed. We'll advise on free options in advance if needed.
