About this Event

Come join us for a cozy evening of storytelling at Snapdragons Plymouth CIC!

We meet on the Fourth Sunday each Month. 5-7pm

(25th of January, 22nd February, 22nd March, 26th April, 24th May)

Our Storytelling event promises to be filled with tales, laughter, and community. Whether you're a seasoned storyteller or just love listening to stories, this is the perfect place to connect with others and share your own stories. Don't miss out on this chance to be part of a magical evening!

You are welcome to only come along and listen BUT....

If you would like to tell a story (and we would love you to) :

*stories should be 10 minutes maximum

*stories can be folk tales, true stories, fairy tales, history, personal stories or original short stories, stories told through songs and poems also welcome

*Ideally you will tell your story without reading from paper/book

*First time story tellers more than welcome, this is a relaxed space to give storytelling a try

*When you arrive let us know you would like to tell a story

*After an intro story from our team, names of those who want to tell will be drawn from the bowl in random order. There should be space for 8 stories max

*We are committed to a diverse, welcoming and respectful environment and there is no place for prejudice, harassment or discrimination.

Tickets are pay what you feel (we suggest a donation of £5+) to cover costs of space and organisation

Some limited hot drinks will be available, feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks.

Weather permitting we will be outside and have a fire (with shelter from light rain). Dress appropriately. If weather is rainy we will move inside on site.

Plymouth Storytelling meets once a month. Look out for the announcement of our next event and location.

Snake Stone Stories is a collective of storytellers based in Plymouth looking to spread more storytelling wherever we can. Contact us: [email protected]
