Royal Coachman. The Royal Coachman is a very versatile attractor pattern that originated in England. It has been tied as a wet fly, dry fly and streamer. The fly has a distinctive look, with a tippet tail and red tag in the middle of the peacock herl. The Royal Coachman is a popular and widely used pattern for freshwater game fish, particularly trout and grayling, and is an effective searching pattern in rivers and stillwaters all over the country.
