Join us for this fun, interactive hands-on 90-minute workshop and discover the timeless art of candle making. Guided by Michael Schaber, PhD, you'll learn the basics of creating beautiful, high-quality container candles while exploring the fascinating science behind waxes, wicks, fragrances, and essential oils.

Each participant will create and take home two container candles using Lavender Essential Oil and Moroccan Amber Fragrance Oil blended into all-natural soy/coconut wax blend, with paper-core cotton wicks, and a selection of wonderful fragrances. Mix, match, and experiment with a variety of candle dyes to create candles that reflect your own personal style.

Along the way, Michael will share the history of candle making — from its practical beginnings as a source of light to today's candles that create warmth, ambiance, relaxation, and even help keep pesky insects at bay during outdoor gatherings.

After a distinguished 40-year career as a pharmaceutical research scientist and adjunct college professor, Michael Schaber, PhD, turned his passion toward natural wellness and handcrafted products.
