Join husband-and-wife team Geri and Ryan Revel for this fun, hands-on workshop that combines woodworking, bird conservation, and practical tips you can use in your own backyard.
Under Geri's expert guidance, each participant will assemble a handcrafted bluebird nesting box from pre-cut wooden pieces that he has carefully prepared. No woodworking experience is necessary — just come ready to build, learn, and have fun!
Once your nesting box is complete, Ryan will introduce you to Bluebird 101, sharing everything you need to know to successfully welcome bluebirds to your yard, including:
- Choosing the best location for your nesting box
- When and where to install it
- What bluebirds eat and how to attract them naturally
- How to monitor and maintain your nesting box
- Cleaning the box after nesting season to prepare for next year's family
Whether you're a seasoned bird enthusiast or simply enjoy watching wildlife from your porch, you'll leave with a beautiful handmade nesting box, the confidence to use it successfully, and a deeper appreciation for these treasured songbirds.
