Join us for a powerful afternoon of deep relaxation, energetic alignment, and sonic bliss. The timing has beautifully aligned such that world-renowned gong musician and teacher, Mike Tamburo is on his West Coast tour and will be joining us with his 40+ instruments!
Gathering just a few days before the April Full Moon in Libra, we are in a potent window to embrace the energies of balance, harmony, and inner alignment. It can be incredibly powerful to tune into the full moon ahead of time, as you can often start to feel its pull up to four days beforehand. Tuning into the full moon early allows for greater sensitivity to and integration of these energies before they peak. With the sun in dynamic Aries and the moon in partnership-focused Libra, this is a beautiful invitation to restore equilibrium within ourselves and in our connections with others. Through the soothing resonance of sound, we will journey into deep relaxation, release energetic blockages, and attune to the expansive wisdom of the approaching full moon.
This healing experience begins with an acknowledgement of the indigenous land and ancestors, and a centering guided by Susan Powell. Then Ruby will lead you through gentle and opening movements and breath work with Jay playing the hand pan and drums. You’ll then be guided through a body scan to ease your nervous system into stillness.
From there, allow yourself to enter a timeless space of listening as Mike Tamburo, accompanied by Ruby Koa, orchestrates his way through 40+ overtone-rich instruments, including Gongs, Bells, Sound Sculptures, a Hammered Dulcimer, and tuned metal instruments. Listeners have described Mike’s music as an adventure in listening, a deep and lasting vibrational rejuvenation for body and spirit, and a journey through the senses.
Both metal and quartz crystal singing bowls, along with various styles of chimes, rain sticks, and ocean drums, will also be woven into the sounds of the afternoon. Saralee Sky will also most likely be present to offer gentle energetic support, enhancing the experience with Reiki and other grounding modalities. The event concludes with tea, sweets, snacks, and community.
