About this Event

Successful AI integration is not only about the technology. It depends on people, trust, leadership, and the support structures that help teams use AI well.

AI initiatives can lose momentum when teams are uncertain about what AI means for their roles, leaders are unclear about how to support change, or employees do not feel confident experimenting with new ways of working.

Coalition of the Willing is a practical WA AI Hub course for leaders and change champions who want to support responsible AI integration through mentorship, readiness, and human-centred change.

You will work through safe practice examples, structured worksheets, and practical mentorship activities to identify barriers, understand stakeholder readiness, and create conversations that help teams move from uncertainty to practical action.

The focus is not on simply encouraging people to use AI. It is on building the trust, support, accountability, and human judgement needed for AI to become part of everyday work in a sustainable way.

Who this is for

This course is designed for professionals responsible for people, change, capability, and organisational development, including:

  • Team leaders and people managers
  • HR and organisational development professionals
  • Local government officers
  • NFP and community organisation managers
  • Change and transformation leads
  • AI champions supporting teams through workplace change
  • Professionals responsible for workforce capability and AI integration

What we will do together
  • Identify human barriers to AI integration: Explore how trust, incentives, confidence, uncertainty, and frontline readiness can influence whether AI initiatives succeed.
  • Build a stakeholder and readiness map: Identify executives, operators, risk owners, customers, community stakeholders, and others who may influence or be affected by AI integration.
  • Design practical mentorship conversations: Develop coaching questions, team rituals, and support pathways that help people engage with AI in a practical and responsible way.
  • Use human judgement checkpoints: Learn where mentorship, review, and decision-making need to remain with people rather than being delegated to AI tools.
  • Turn insight into action: Apply the activities to a real workplace context and develop a practical artefact you can use immediately.

What you will take home

You will leave with practical resources to support human-centred AI integration, including:

  • A Human Barriers to AI Integration Map
  • A Stakeholder and AI Readiness Map
  • Practical Mentorship Conversation Scripts
  • Structured prompts for team coaching and support
  • A practical artefact you can apply within your organisation

Good to know

This is a practical professional development course focused on people, leadership, mentorship, and organisational change, rather than technical AI training. Activities use safe examples and structured scenarios, allowing participants to explore workplace challenges without sharing confidential employee, customer, or organisational information. No technical background is required.
