Gemini Lab: Google Workspace and Multimodal AI
About this Event
Let’s cut through the AI noise and get practical.
Let’s be honest: keeping up with AI right now can feel exhausting. Every day there's a new tool, a new headline, and a new expert telling you what youmustdo.
At WA AI HubWestern Australia's premier destination for responsible, humanity-centred AI training we prefer to slow things down.
This hands-on lab isn't about hype; it’s about clarity. We are going to show you exactly how to use Google’s Gemini within your everyday Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Drive, etc.) and how to confidently tackle multimodal tasks (working across text, images, and audio).
You don't need a technical background to join us. All you need is curiosity, a real-world task you're trying to figure out, and a willingness to learn how to use AI in a way that respects people, context, and Australian standards of responsibility.
You won't just sit and listen. You’ll roll up your sleeves, ask questions, and walk away with a ready-to-useGoogle Workspace workflow patternand amultimodal prompt guidethat you can apply to your job the very next day.
What you will do:
- Get hands-on:Work through practical, low-risk AI activities that make sense for your day-to-day work.
- Build confidence:Learn how to make smart, safe, and ethical decisions when introducing AI into your routines.
- Keep it safe:Learn how to apply our straightforward responsible AI checklist.
- Build something real:Create a usable, customized tool or workflow during the session that you can take straight back to your desk.
- Plan your future:Map out your next learning pathway with WA AI Hub, tailored specifically to your role or your team's needs.
