AI as your problem solving coach

This course would suit people who want to use AI to work through real ideas and practical or strategic problems, rather than simply using it to generate content. It is also suitable for those who want to support evidence-informed decision-making without feeling overloaded, and who want to use AI to help unblock their thinking when they are stuck.

No prior knowledge is required, although some experience of using an AI chatbot would be helpful. Almost any AI chatbot can be used for the session. A paid subscription is recommended to get the most from the course; without one, learners can still understand what is possible, although hands-on practice may be more limited.

You will get started with AI persona and context customisation, including how to shape the chatbot’s responses so they are more relevant to your needs. The course will also cover how to break down complex problems into manageable chunks, develop good practice in language use, and understand how and when to challenge or evolve the AI chatbot’s suggestions and outputs.

You will also explore context windows and what they mean for the quality of AI outputs, helping you make more informed decisions about how much information to provide and how to guide the chatbot effectively.
