Advanced Digital SLR Workshop

Automatic mode gets you a photograph. Manual mode gets you the photograph you intended. This workshop is for photographers who already know their way around a camera and are ready to take full creative control — moving beyond the settings the camera chooses for you and understanding why the choices you make produce the results they do.

You'll work through the exposure triangle in depth — aperture, shutter speed, and ISO — and explore how each affects not just exposure but mood, movement, and depth. Lighting and composition are covered with a practical eye: how to read available light, when to work with it and when to fight it, and how to build images that are structurally strong before you even open an editing app. Bring your DSLR and a willingness to shoot in manual from the moment you walk in.
