Women's Safety Walk: Newton Heath

Join Walking Mums Club for a friendly Women's Safety Walk around Newton Heath.
We will walk some of our local routes together, parks, paths and the everyday streets we use with our prams and little ones, and talk about how these spaces actually feel. Where do you feel safe and welcome? Where feels isolated, poorly lit or hard to get a buggy through? Your everyday experience is exactly the insight that is often missing when decisions get made about our area.
Everything we share goes into a community report that goes straight to the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board and Manchester City Council, so women and mums help shape future investment in our streets and green spaces.
This walk is for all women. It is free, relaxed and pram friendly, with babies and children very welcome. No fitness needed, we go at an easy pace and chat as we go.
