About this Event
Come along to our hands-on creative cake workshop with afternoon tea. This free event involves enjoying afternoon tea and conversations around pelvic health. There will be an in-person workshop where you will be provided tea, cake and materials to decorate your own vagina cake! This event is part of a week-long exhibition that brings the community together sharing stories on a subject that affects 1 in 3 women, but no-one ever talks about: pelvic floor problems like incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. Inspired by the stigma smashing podcast Why Mums Don’t Jump, students at Falmouth University created a landmark animated film that depicts - for the first time - the experience of pelvic organ prolapse after childbirth. To celebrate this groundbreaking work the exhibition will showcase the behind the scenes and invites visitors to join in the discussion over a cup of tea and move these private experiences of despair to shared public joy!
