About this Event
How do you measure the value your enterprise brings to society?
It is hard to demonstrate value or set performance measures for intangible successes. It’s hard to prove to potential funders and stakeholders that your enterprise is a viable investment when your main metrics of success don’t involve measurable and comparable figures but are based on less tangible outcomes like improved wellbeing. Furthermore, how do you improve your enterprise's offer if there’s no measure?
Social return on investment (SROI) is the methodology for evaluating social impact and quantifying that value in a monetary term. Essentially, it’s about understanding (the sometimes hidden) benefits to society that your enterprise can bring through its activities.
In partnership with Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC), we are providing practical help to support enterprises to measure their SROI through a FREE two-day in person workshop.
At the end of the workshop, you will come away better equipped to demonstrate impact and social value to help win new funding applications/contracts and to expand activities to be sustainable and generate income.
When and where:
This is a small group course. You willl need to sign up to both sessions. Please only sign up if you can attend both sessions:

This FREE two-day in person workshop provides enterprises with the skills and knowledge to evaluate their impact and calculate their social value.
The first day looks at the theory of impact and SROI, while the second day focuses on the practical application of these theories to the enterprise using Social Value Engine (SVE), a digital online SROI tool.
Lunch will be provided and drinks and refreshments will be available.
Learn what is impact, what is social value and why it is important to your enterprise.
Discover how to measure your impact, tools to calculate SROI, proxies and other key terms.
Hear from experts about methods for measuring impact using Theory of Change/Logic Models.
Understand how measuring the social impact of your projects/services can help the growth of your enterprise and stakeholder engagement.
Be part of the conversation, meet and work with peers, develop your network, access sector experts and take part in practical activities including using a digital online SROI tool.
These workshops will be most beneficial for eligible enterprises who are:
- Already collecting user feedback about their projects/services.
- Keen to understand the best time and how often they should be collecting user feedback.
- Want to know which methods and tools they can use to demonstrate impact and social value.
- Aiming to improve health, wellbeing and improvements to the community.
You are being offered assistance in compliance with UK Subsidy Control guideline regulations. This allows an organisation to receive a maximum of £315,000 of public funding over a three fiscal year period. Attending these workshops will accrue towards your Subsidy Control allowance (formerly known as State Aid). The value for the 2-day workshop is £1,548.
