Join us every Sunday for a refreshing Qi Gong session that goes beyond your typical workout. We'll explore this ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movements with mindful breathing and focused intention. These sessions are beginner friendly and open to everyone!
What is Qi Gong?
Qi Gong is often called "moving meditation." It's based on traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy aiming to balance your body's energy (Qi) with the world around you. By syncing your mind body and spirit Qi Gong helps you feel more centered and relaxed.
\What to Expect
Each session includes:
1. Warm-Up: We'll start with easy stretches and breathing exercises to get you ready.
2. Qi Gong Movements: You'll learn a series of slow purposeful movements that:
- Open energy pathways
- Improve circulation
- Enhance your Qi flow
We'll cover various styles including:
- Five elements Qi Gong (Wood Metal Fire Water Earth)
- Sound healing Qi Gong
- Spiral Qi Gong
- Animal-inspired flows
3. Breathwork: We'll practice different breathing techniques to help you relax and focus such as:
- Double and triple wave breath
- Theta breathing
- Deep abdominal breathing
4. Cool Down and Reflection: We'll end with gentle stretches and a short meditation. You'll have time to think about what you've learned and how to apply it in your daily life.
