Wearable Art Summer Camp

Wearable Art Summer Camp is a hands-on creative studio experience for preteens and teens who love fashion, making things, and expressing their personal style!
Each day explores a different textile or wearable art project, giving campers the chance to try real techniques, play with materials, and create pieces that feel uniquely theirs. This is a space for experimenting, getting creative, learning new skills, and having fun with textiles in a relaxed studio environment.
This is a drop-in camp, so students can join for one day or multiple days depending on their schedule. Each session is its own complete creative experience, and campers always leave with something finished or well on its way.
Campers are also encouraged (but not required) to bring items from home all week to personalize and transform. This could be a tote, denim jacket, shirt, or any fabric item they want to make their own.
Some projects may continue beyond the camp session. When that happens, campers will leave with everything they need, plus clear guidance and support so they can confidently finish their work at home.
✨ Daily Themes
Monday: Hand-Stitched Tote Studio 🧵
Kick off the week by designing a custom tote bag using hand stitching and decorative fiber techniques. Campers will learn simple embroidery-style stitches and turn a plain tote into something totally personal.
Tuesday: Natural Dye Lab 🌿
A full day of color experimentation using natural dye processes. Campers will twist, fold, dip, and reveal unexpected color patterns as they create one-of-a-kind textile pieces.
Wednesday: Jewelry + Fiber Studio ✨
A day dedicated to small but bold wearable creations. Campers will design bracelets and fiber accessories using beads, cord, and weaving construction techniques.
Thursday: Crochet Studio 🧶
Slow down and get into the rhythm of crochet. Campers will learn beginner-friendly stitches and start creating their own soft, textured pieces they can build on over time.
Friday: Fabric Print Studio 🎨
Bring it all together with paint, pattern, and print. Campers will design fabric art using inks and block printing techniques. They are encouraged to bring an item from home like denim, a tote, or a cotton shirt to customize (optional but highly encouraged).

🥪 What to Bring: Refillable water bottle + optional snack
🌞 Outdoor Time: Weather permitting, we’ll step outside for a short break during snack time. Sun protection is encouraged.
