About this Event
The Inipi, also known as the Purification Lodge, is a sacred ceremony with roots stretching back thousands of years within Indigenous cultures. Often referred to as the church and hospital of Indigenous peoples, the Inipi is a powerful spiritual practice that serves to heal, purify, and rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit. This ancient ceremony is a profound opportunity to pray for what you desire in your life and the lives of your loved ones while releasing and purifying anything that no longer serves you.
Throughout history, countless individuals have found healing from chronic and even terminal illnesses by participating in these sacred lodges, where they engage in deep prayer and connect with the divine. The Inipi is also a time to commune with others who are committed to their healing journeys and are interested in learning more about Indigenous ways of life. Whether you seek healing, guidance, or a deeper connection to your spiritual path, the Inipi offers a powerful space for transformation and growth.
Reciprocity: Respectful donations are requested and appreciated, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The feast and clean up of the site are part of the Ceremony. Duration from arrival to departure is approximately six hours so please plan accordingly. We Lodge regardless of the weather.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Upon arrival, please show up in appropriate attire to be cleansed off. Once everyone has arrived we will dress the lodge and then make prayer ties to bring into the lodge with you.
Once the stones are ready, we will get changed and enter the lodge for about 4 rounds of purification.
The lodge is a structure built close to the Earth, so please know that we will be sitting on the Earth for about an hour and a half. If you need to stretch your legs, more often than not, there is space to do so. Depending on how many people show up, it may feel a little bit tight in there at times.
Once the stones are brought in, the door will be shut and it will be completely dark for the duration of the round, which typically lasts around 10 minutes or so. At the end of the round, we will open the door and serve water. You are free to leave the Lodge between rounds if you feel you need to, however once the door is shut, you will need to do your best to hold your place.
After the Lodge, we will set up and gather for the feast then end the day by cleaning up together.
If you have questions or medical concerns about attending the Lodge, please text me or give me a call at (415) 310-0981.
Blessings!
