Talk: British Council X Factory international w/Lusine MLKE-Galstyan
About this Event
Lusine MLKE-Galstyan, a creative producer and musician from Armenia, will first present a short sound practice as an invitation to explore Armenian creative industries.
This will be followed and a visual documentation and case studies from Hosq’s educational, performative, and research-based programs in Armenia.
Driven by her profound belief in the transformative power of art and ideas, Lusine channels her creative projects through the Hosq Foundation (www.hosq.co)The presentations will be followed by Q&A about Lusine’s work and Islington Mill’s foci on collective habitat creating, and the peer-led Islington Mill Arts Academy.
(Lusine @lusination_ co-founded Tiezerk , a band with whom she creates and produces music. Lusine also collaborates with MIHR Contemporary Dance Theatre, and is the head of events at Hrach’s Art Space, a cultural hub for independent artists.)
Monday 29th June 6pm - 7.30pmThis is followed by a Monday-evening pot-luck social 7.30pm for all to continue chatting and meet each other. As usual, please bring a dish to share.The event is free, and donations are most welcome to which support artist development at Islington Mill.This event will be in person and live online.
