About this Event

Summer Nervous System Reset

This summer, Connection Health Center is hosting a morning practice built entirely around how to breathe, how to move, how to release, how to rest.
We begin with breath
We open together with guided breathwork. You'll learn why your breath is the fastest, most direct line you have to your nervous system.
Then we move into deep restorative movement (or yin if you feel called)
Because your breath is already anchored, you're free to close your eyes for the rest of practice. No looking around to see what everyone else is doing. No wondering if you're "doing it right." You already know how to breathe so let your breath lead, and let your body move however it needs to.

Yin holds are long, slow, and unhurried, giving your connective tissue and your nervous system the time they actually need to soften. Whatever that looks like for you today — stillness, subtle movement, a body that wants to shift and sway.

This is a room with no mirrors and no audience. Just you, your breath, and permission.
Then we rest into sound
We close in a full sound bath.
Your body is full of mechanoreceptors, these are sensors that respond to vibration, not just sound you consciously hear. Singing bowls and gongs wash over you, that vibration is picked up through both your ears and your skin, and early research on vibroacoustic sound therapy has recorded real, measurable shifts: increased parasympathetic ("rest and digest") nervous system activity, lower cortisol, improved heart rate variability, and a brain that shifts out of busy, wakeful beta waves into the slower, more restorative alpha and theta states associated with deep meditation.
By the end of this morning, you won't just feel relaxed. You'll have felt, in your own body, exactly how breath, movement, and sound work together to bring your nervous system back home.
This is for you if:
You're craving a practice that feels safe enough to actually let go in. You want to understand why what you're doing works, not just be told to relax. You're ready to move through a practice with your eyes closed and your guard down.
