We will explore the unique process of creating your own sourdough treats! Each participant will receive a starter and a jar, along with a beginner's guide to sourdough. We will cover the materials needed to make bread, the best flours for baking, and walk through the steps of feeding and maintaining a starter, creating your dough, stretch and folds, proofing, shaping, and baking your loaves. Since making bread takes time, this will be a demonstration rather than a hands-on class. We will bake near the end of the session, and each participant will have the chance to sample sourdough bread with various butters and jams. Participants must register at least five days in advance.
