WHAT IS COMPOSTING?
Composting is a natural process that turns organic material like food scraps, grass clippings and leaves into a dark, rich substance. This substance called compost is a great conditioner for your soil because it is nutrient-rich, decomposed organic matter created by microorganisms. It improves water retention and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.
