Somatic Ayurvedic Bodywork

There comes a point in your bodywork practice where doing more just doesn’t create better results. You can feel it in your clients, and you can definitely feel it in your own body. The deeper pressure, the extra techniques, the effort to “fix” things starts to feel like too much, and somehow not enough at the same time.
Somatic Ayurvedic bodywork offers a different way into the work. It’s slower and more intentional, rooted in the nervous system and in the wisdom of Ayurveda. Instead of chasing symptoms, you begin to listen for patterns. Instead of pushing into the body, you learn to work with it.
We explore how the doshas, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, show up through touch, tone, and rhythm, and how to respond in a way that actually supports regulation. The use of warm, herbalized oils becomes part of that conversation. The oil isn’t just a medium, it’s medicine, carrying nourishment into the tissues and helping the body settle and receive.
What I see again and again is that the work becomes quieter, but far more effective. Clients feel it as a sense of being met, not just worked on. They come back not only because they feel better, but because something deeper is happening in their system.
And for you, it becomes a way of working that you can sustain. Less strain, more flow, and a deeper connection to what you’re actually doing with your hands.
