Three's Company — A Workshop by Clutch Comedy

Two-person scenes get all the attention. Then a third improviser steps in and everything changes.

Three's Company is a hands-on workshop from Clutch Comedy — Rebecca Diaz, KC Korge and Michelle Castro — built entirely around the three-person scene. Three is the number where improv gets interesting and where it most often falls apart: someone gets stranded on the edge of the stage, two people lock into a scene while the third narrates from the sidelines, or all three talk at once and the scene dissolves into noise.

You'll work on the skills that keep that from happening. How to enter a scene without steamrolling it. How to support without disappearing. How to give and take focus so all three people are contributing even when only two are talking. And how a third voice can raise the stakes of a scene rather than crowd it.

Clutch Comedy performs as a trio, so this is their home turf. Expect to spend the whole ninety minutes on your feet, in scenes, with immediate feedback.
