SOFLO LOCO Friday Night
Three of South Florida's improv teams take the stage on Friday, and none of them know what they're about to do.
The night opens with a double bill from P.E. and Improv Therapy — two teams, two ways of building comedy out of thin air, back to back with no reset in between. This is Improv follows with no gimmick to hide behind, just the form itself played well: one suggestion, a group that trusts each other, and an hour made entirely of what happens next. Then Unmitigated Disaster closes the ticketed portion of the evening with a name that reads more like a promise than a warning — high-wire comedy where the wheels are always one choice from coming off.
After the shows, the stage opens up. Festival participants get thrown together into groups drawn at random, and then the doors open wider still for the After Hours Community Jam, where anyone who wants to get up can put their name in the hat. Visiting artists, local performers, workshop students, first-timers — same hat, same stage, no rehearsal. Both jams are free and run until midnight.
Nothing you see on Friday has been performed before, and none of it will ever happen again.

All classes and shows will take place at the Main Street Playhouse, 6812 Main St. Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
There will be 10 amazing workshop classes to choose from (just $40 each) and over 18 shows from some of the MOST TALENTED, hilarious, and experienced improv teams and players in Miami, Broward and West Palm!!!
Participating teams include Short Round Improv, Clutch Comedy, Cuzzins, Unmitigated Disaster, P.E., This is Improv, ImprovNovella and talented players from theaters around city including JTF, This New River Theater, Tag l-In Theater and talented performer/teachers like Elena Maria Garcia, Carlos Hernandez, Oscar Diaz, Jeff Quitana, KC Korge, Rebecca Diaz, Michelle Castro, Gaby Fernandez, Juan Espinosa & more!
Packed full of 5 or more shows each night for just $25 each night, these shows are sure to sell out fast!
PLUS there will be FREE jams that YOU can play in at the end of each night! And it all caps off with our insane Sept. Mainstreet Madness show, “Escape from Shizzney World!!!”
We can honestly say there hasn’t been an event with SUCH a local focus and SUCH a wonderful variety of teams in a long time!
