Sir James Atwood at the Blue Room
About this Event
Some debuts you don't forget. When Sir James Atwood made his first Blue Room appearance at Indigo Hour this June, the room knew before the second song that a happy-hour set wasn't going to be enough. Saturday night, the Kansas City vocalist returns for the full treatment: two headline sets on the main stage at 18th & Vine.
Atwood is a singer who leaves everything on the stage. His voice opened the gala night of ArtFusion KC at the Kansas City Convention Center, and with his band The Collective behind him he moves between jazz standards and soul grooves with the kind of energy that turns a show into an event. High-impact, impassioned live performance is the sound he's known for — and a Saturday night crowd at the Blue Room is exactly the room it was made for.
Come watch a rising Kansas City voice claim the city's most storied jazz stage. Two full sets — come for the first, stay for the second.
Two shows: 8:30 pm and 10 pm. Admission is $10 per show.
The Blue Room, 1600 E 18th St, Kansas City, MO 64108. Saturday, August 29 — shows at 8:30 pm & 10 pm.
