Then be taken through a beautiful showgirl routine by Savanna (Le Lido de Paris), finishing off with 1:1 feedback with Marissa Burgess (Moulin Rouge) to become the best all rounded showgirl there is!
Marissa:
Marissa Burgess former long-serving lead performer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, headlined for 15 years. Originally from Newcastle is now based on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Marissa converted her showgirl dancing career to lead vocalist for showgirl productions across the world, in cabaret, revue and cruises. Trailblazing showgirl performances into Palazzo Spiegeltent’s across Germany, Marissa remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Burgess produces and stars in French-style revues for Prestige Productions Australia for whom she is the founder, and mentors upcoming dancers, and teaches specialized Showgirl Masterclasses to performing arts students.
Savanna:
Savanna trained extensively in dance and performance, completing the Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations through to Advanced 1 level, achieving Distinction in every examination. Alongside ballet, she trained in jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, acrobatics, musical theatre, rhythmic gymnastics, singing, and piano, while performing as a featured dancer in school productions.
She later joined Creative Generation as a company dancer and returned last year as an alumni performer. At 18, Savanna moved to Paris to pursue her professional dance career, performing at the world-renowned Le Lido de Paris from 2017–2022. During this time, she progressed through Bluebell, Belle, Soloist, and Principal roles, alongside television appearances, promotional work, and modelling couture during Paris Fashion Week.
After returning to Australia and starting a family, Savanna is now completing a degree in Interior Architecture, continuing to balance her passion for creativity, design, teaching and performance.
Ashlee:
Ashlee Smallfield is a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher with over 30 years immersed in dance. Beginning her training at just 2 years old, she grew up studying a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, cabaret, hip hop, and musical theatre; building a foundation that is both versatile and deeply technical.
At 18, Ashlee launched her professional career on one of the world’s most iconic stages; the Moulin Rouge in Paris, performing as a showgirl and French Cancan dancer. This milestone opened the door to a decade of international and national work, including contracts with Princess Cruises, Cabaret de Paris Australian Tours, major corporate events, and television appearances across France, Italy, and Switzerland. She has performed as a backup dancer for artists such as Jessica Sutta, David Campbell, and spent over ten years working alongside Marissa Burgess and Prestige Productions as a leading showgirl in their acclaimed productions. Her career also extended into modelling, runway, film, and television. Beyond the stage, Ashlee shares her knowledge of dance and her creative spark as a teacher and choreographer working with dancers of all ages and levels. She too has built a strong parallel career in fitness and management, experienced in Group Fitness, Pilates, and Strength & Conditioning.
She is dedicated to shaping the next generation of dancers and mentoring young professionals, fostering strength, musicality, individuality, and above all, confidence.
