Din is-sessjoni hija parti mis-serje Qari Qsajjar, li matulha se taqra Claire Lajus — mistiedna speċjali tal-Festival Mediterranju tal-Letteratura ta’ Malta fl-ambjent intimu tal-foyer taċ-ċinema ta’ Spazju Kreattiv. Din is-serje hija parti mill-kollaborazzjoni fit-tul bejn Inizjamed u Spazju Kreattiv. Id-dħul huwa b’xejn.
Claire Lajus hija poetessa, traduttriċi tat-Tork, u fundatriċi u editur tar-rivista onlajn Ayna, li tippromwovi l-poeżija Torka kontemporanja. Taħdem fid-Dipartiment tat-Traduzzjoni tal-Università ta’ Istanbul, ilha poetessa ta’ Versopolis mill-2023, u tospita qari għall-festival tal-poeżija Voix Vives f’Sète, Franza. Il-poeżiji tagħha dehru f’diversi rivisti, u l-ġabriet tagħha jinkludu L'Ombre remue (2018), Aux Aguets (2020), Une Traversée (2023), u Aperçus indisponibles (2024); qed taħdem ukoll fuq rumanz. Għaliha, il-poeżija hija bżonn — kumpass li jgħinha tifhem id-dinja u lilha nnifisha, u tesplora l-marġini b’lingwaġġ sempliċi u ingaġġat mad-dinja. Ix-xogħol tagħha ġie tradott għat-Tork, is-Serb, l-Ingliż u l-Malti, u f’Awwissu 2024 kienet kittieba residenti fid-Dar tal-Kittieba f’Bursa, it-Turkija. Torganizza wkoll proġetti li jiffukaw fuq il-poeżija, fosthom żewġ avvenimenti “Printemps des Poètes” fl-Istanbul (2023–24) u prestazzjoni ibbażata fuq il-poeżiji ta’ Yunus Emre, ippreżentata f’Ankara fl-2025. Traduċiet numru ta’ ġabriet ta’ poeżija Torka għall-Franċiż — minn Yunus Emre sa Nazım Hikmet — b’ismijiet notorji għal Bruno Doucey u Al Manar, u t-traduzzjoni tagħha tal-bestseller ta’ Duygu Asena, A Woman Has No Name, ġiet ippubblikata minn Bianchi f’Diċembru 2025.

Claire Lajus is a poet, translator of Turkish, and founder-editor of the online review Ayna, which promotes contemporary Turkish poetry. She works in the translation department of Istanbul University, has been a Versopolis poet since 2023, and hosts readings for the Voix Vives poetry festival in Sète, France. Her poems have appeared in numerous reviews, and her collections include L'Ombre remue (2018), Aux Aguets (2020), Une Traversée (2023), and Aperçus indisponibles (2024); a novel is also underway. For her, poetry is a necessity — a compass that helps her understand the world and herself, exploring the margins in a stripped-down, world-engaged language. Her work has been translated into Turkish, Serbian, English and Maltese, and in August 2024 she was writer-in-residence at the Writers' House in Bursa, Turkey. She also organizes poetry projects, including two "Printemps des Poètes" events in Istanbul (2023–24) and a 2025 performance based on Yunus Emre's poems, staged in Ankara. As a translator, she has brought a dozen Turkish poetry collections into French — from Yunus Emre to Nazım Hikmet — notably for Bruno Doucey and Al Manar, and her translation of Duygu Asena's bestseller A Woman Has No Name was published by Bianchi in December 2025.
