Exclusive event for SF Beer Week.
and are pairing up to co-host a true malt-to-beer experience. Hands-on, beginner-friend & you'll be actually brewing. Don't miss this one!

About the event...
Wear comfortable non-slip shoes and clothes you can brew in.
We will divide into teams, each with its own brewing rig and ingredients. A curated recipe with easy-to-follow steps will be provided. homebrewers will be there to provide direction, assistance, and some colorful "beer banter."
At a point in the brewing process, teams will be taken on a behind-the-scenes malt house tour to show you how the malt you have been using is made using an ancient floor malting technique that is unique to , the largest floor malting facility in North America. The maltster, who works for , will be there to answer questions.
After the teams return, we will continue the brewing process and also enjoy a meal prepared by the kitchen @ . homebrewers will walk you through the final processes to prepare the beer for the real magic: fermentation.
Following the event, the beer will be finished at the private-label brewhouse operated by one of the homebrewers. Following fermentation and finishing of the beer, the beer will reappear @ for a private "Pour Night," when you as the brewer can return and enjoy the beer of your creation.
Note: Please remain vigilant around brewing and malting equipment. We want to keep everyone safe. is an active production facility and the brewing equipment is commercial grade.

About what we are brewing...
Classic Czech Pilsner-- This is a traditional Europen-style Pilsner.
Admiral Malts will be used for the grain base with additional malt sugars added through dry malt extract. Hallertau Noble and Czech Saas hops will be provided by from their private hop garden in Alameda, CA.
Not only is this grain to beer, but it is all locally sourced.
About Dahoam1516...
is a non-profit school and social club, hosting small-format, beginner-friendly, hands-on classes. In addition, they operate a unique events venue with a small private-label Brewhouse, Bier- & Hopfgarten, and a learn-in kitchen and gardens.
