SDRUFC 2025 Awards Ceremony

Join the San Diego Regional Urban Forests Council (SDRUFC) as we celebrate outstanding achievements in urban forestry at our annual Award Ceremony, generously hosted and sponsored by West Coast Arborists. We will be recognizing exceptional urban forestry personnel, programs, and projects that have made significant contributions to the health, sustainability, and resilience of San Diego's urban forests.

Award Categories:

• Urban Forestry Shining Star: Honoring an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in improving San Diego's urban forests.
• Outstanding Urban Forestry Project/Program: Celebrating innovative and impactful projects or programs that have enhanced the urban forest and improved the quality of life in San Diego communities, by projects/programs that fall into the following categories: tree planting; climate resilience; tree equity; urban greening and cooling; park access; urban wood reclamation; tree health care and maintenance; tree preservation; integrated pest management; nursery production; urban forestry research and data.
• Outstanding Urban Forestry Education Project/Program: Recognizing exceptional educational initiatives that have increased public awareness and understanding of the importance of urban trees and their stewardship, via projects or programs that fall into the following categories; tree stewardship; workforce development; community engagement; child development; urban forestry advocacy.

Join us for an evening of networking, celebration, and inspiration as we honor the outstanding work of San Diego's urban forestry champions. Refreshments and dinner will be included. Thank you to West Coast Arborists for their generous support and for hosting this event at their beautiful La Mesa office.
