Safer Walking & Support Devices
As dementia progresses, changes in memory, time awareness and sense of direction can sometimes make independent walking less predictable.
This session focuses on reducing risk while maintaining dignity and independence.
Join JB from Guardian Support Services and Gill from Alzheimers Taranaki for an informative and practical presentation covering:
✔ Why people living with dementia may become lost
✔ Planning safer walking routines
✔ Simple strategies to increase safety
✔ GPS and tracking devices available locally
This session is especially helpful for families beginning to notice changes and wanting to plan ahead.
