Ruapuke South planting bee

Join Coastcare Waikato, lovely Ruapuke locals & the Ruapuke Coastcare team as we work to restore the coast at south Ruapuke. This year we have ~400 backdune plants to plant along the banks of the Ruapuke Stream. It'll look stunning once they take off!
To protect the health of ourselves and our restoration sites, we ask that you arrive with clean footwear and equipment and stay home if you feel unwell.
Fingers crossed for sunshine! We'll have some spades available, but please bring a water bottle, your favourite spade and gloves if you want them and make sure to wear suitable clothing (long pants/gumboots).
Postponements due to weather will be posted on this page.
Please note - there's no cell reception at this site so take a careful look at the map before coming out and make sure to take Ruapuke Beach Road to south Ruapuke beach. Meet at the carpark - look for the Coastcare flags.
