The Point of Jazz is a jazz collective led by graduates of the music department at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. This week the house band consists of Kadin Yach (p) Jessie Crandall (b) and Colt Maichle (d). Every Thursday the group plays at Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton Wisconsin from 7:30-9:30PM. They play a one hour set featuring that week’s guest artist, then open the floor for community members to join in on their respective instruments. This week‘s featured artist is Kate Voss
WAMI Award winning Kate Voss by way of Seattle will be blessing your ears with her original tunes and arrangements. Kate performs a range of styles from Hot Club, to Western Swing, to Blues, and hits from the 50’s and 60’s. She is a MUST see, dressed to the nines, bouncing her brilliant, bright voice on the microphone and creating an energy that has the entire room dancing!
