On Sunday, August 23rd, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater invites you in for a night of classic horror, with a special digital presentation of F.W. Murnau’s silent vampire classic NOSFERATU (1922), with live accompaniment by organist Ian Fraser. https://ianfraserorganist.com
See the film that shocked audiences around the world, one of the greats of silent and early horror cinema, starring Max Schreck as Count Orlak, a grotesque nobleman looking for a new home on foreign shores, and new victims to satisfy his insatiable bloodlust!
A copyright-busting adaptation of Bram Stoker’s DRACULA, NOSFERATU managed to dodge eradication (due to a lawsuit by Stoker’s widow, all copies were ordered destroyed) and live on as an undead vessel of Teutonic terror! See it on the giant outdoor screen and feel the fear like never before!
As an extra special added attraction, we’ll have master organist Ian Fraser joining us to provide live organ accompaniment to the film, filling the night with music and adding his own personal flair to the proceedings, taking you back to how audiences originally experienced the film in 1922!
Gates open at 6pm, showtime at sundown.
Tickets are only $12 for this special engagement!
All events are rain or shine. no refunds or transfers.
