On Saturday, August 8th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton, PA invites you to go back to The Wasteland, for a Guzzolene Gathering Mad Max fan event!
We're getting revved up to praise the iconic high-octane post-apocalyptic Sci-Fi action saga with a delirious double feature, roaring across our massive outdoor screen in glorious 35mm!
We get into gear with film that exploded Mad Max into an international sensation, from visionary director George Miller, THE ROAD WARRIOR (1982)! A sequel that shifts the setting into a ravaged and savaged landscape where fuel is the most precious resource, and bands of roving, armor-clad gangs in souped-up death machines fight to the death for glorious guzzolene!
Into this world steps Mad Max, former police officer and roving loner of The Wasteland, who helps a small desert outpost fight off Lord Humungus and his minions. Featuring breath-taking action and unforgettable vehicles, this juggernaut set the tone for the rest of the series that would spawn endless imitators and its own genre.
We follow the second installment of the Mad Max saga with the last (so far), MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (2015)!
