Music Open Morning

Welcome to the Music Open Morning

We are delighted to invite you to the Music Department Open Morning which will take place on Saturday 22 August from 9.30am, starting in the Recital Room on Level 8 of the Centenary Building. Over the course of the morning, you can learn more about the instrumental programme, individual tuition and the co-curricular activities offered by the department. The morning will also feature a short recital given by some of our first cohort of Music Scholars , and a number of open rehearsals which will give you a flavour of some of our ensembles that will be performing in Italy in October 2026.

Saturday will also be the ideal opportunity for your son or daughter to audition for music ensembles and to be allocated to the correct group(s) based on their current ability. The music ensembles that are available for audition are: String ensemble, Woodwind and Brass ensemble, Piano Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Junior Chamber Choir and Junior Rock Band.

· Please arrive on time as the event will begin promptly.

· There is limited parking at the Main Entrance and attendees are strongly discouraged from parking illegally on the residential streets. Please click here for our parking guide.

· Please ensure you wear your parent or staff lanyard.

· All adults who are not staff members or not current parents must register before entering campus. Please allow up to 15 minutes if registering on-site. While on campus, all visitors must wear a lanyard issued by the Events or Security Team and present their badge to the security guard for scanning.

· Consent for Photography and Videography: Photographs and videos may be taken by the School during this event. The School may use the photos and videos for its purposes such as maintaining security, recording the event for publicity and marketing, training, or inclusion in newsletters, social media, and reports.
