Monthly Supper Series: September 2026

Suppers at Headlands offer a unique opportunity to experience an evening at Headlands through the lens of Artists. Gather in our historic, artist-renovated Mess Hall and share a seasonal, family-style meal prepared by Headlands’ Kitchen. Your seat at the table helps sustain our mission of supporting artists and creative exchange.
For our September Supper, join us after dinner for a studio visit with artist, cultural worker, and 2026-27 Tournesol Awardee L.Song Wu and a reading by Black British mother, author, and 2026 Summer Artist in Residence Eirinie Carson.
L. Song Wu draws from anime, Internet culture, and memory to create work that uses humor, discomfort, and surrealism to examine voyeurism, spectatorship, and alienation. Her practice often centers the female figure and considers how femininity, particularly Asian and diasporic femininity, is represented and experienced.
Eirini Carson’s work focuses on ancestral inheritance in a world desperate to sever the connections between what came before and what is to come. Drawing from her own experiences, Carson's fictional writing is about the quiet suffocation of racism, poverty, and food scarcity juxtaposed against the forms of wealth and privilege that remain out of reach for many. While at Headlands, she’s developing her third book, One Last Thing, based on her father’s early years as a Caribbean immigrant in 90s London.

Dinner will be held in The Mess Hall on the first floor of Building 944, accessible to people with mobility aids. The artist program will take place on the second floors of Building 944 and 945, accessible only by stairs.
